The cumbersomely-named TextBrick is a JavaScript UI object which can display blocks of text in one of three directions (up, down, left-to-right) and three alignments (left, right, centre). It supports configurable font selection, foreground and background colours (saved with the patcher) and the textual content can be saved using Max's pattr machinery.

The JSUI code and example patchers can be downloaded here.
